Capital Campaign

GRACE Inc. was created over 40 years ago to provide affordable housing for seniors. In 1983, GRACE Inc. opened Grace Court in Downtown Brampton to our first Brampton seniors. Forty years later we are renovating the Grace Court apartments and furthering our mission to provide safe and stable housing for low-income seniors.
Without these apartments, many neighbourhood seniors would be priced out of the community they grew up in or have come to call “home.” We must ensure our neighbours have a safe and stable place to live in their later years.
Grace Court has lunched a capital campaign to secure the long-term health, safety and sustainability of our building.
A 2024 independent Building Condition Report identified $4.8 million in essential repairs and replacements needed over the next 15 years. These are critical investments that cannot be delayed if we want to preserve the building we rely on every day.
At the same time, we have a vision for a safer, greener and more accessible Grace Court. This includes fire sprinklers, solar panels and enhanced accessibility features - important upgrades that total over $3 million.
Together, these needs form the foundation of our capital campaign: a commitment to preserving our building and preparing it for the future.
To meet these needs, we will draw on grants, reserves and loans - but these alone are not enough.
We cannot complete this work without donor support. Your generosity directly strengthens Grace Court and ensures it remains a safe, welcoming and resilient home for generations to come.
